The rock ‘n’ roll musical, Million Dollar Quartet, is bringing a real rhythmic performance to Dublin's Bord Gais Energy Theatre in Winter 2016/17. A grand celebration of some of rock ‘n’ roll’s greatest artists, you can immerse yourself in musical history and discover the true story of the night that proved to be an important moment in the rock ‘n’ roll world. Bringing that special night to life, Million Dollar Quartet will feature reams of classic rock ‘n’ roll hits such as ‘Blue Suede Shoes’, ‘Walk The Line’, ‘Hound Dog’, ‘That’s All Right’ and many more.
The night of December 4th, 1956, saw four of the most iconic musical legends, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins gather for a one-off recording session at Sun Records in Memphis. The music produced at the jam session that night was nothing short of extraordinary, and with Million Dollar Quartet, you can step back in time and become part of that very moment.
History of Million Dollar Quartet - Dublin
Million Dollar Quartet is touring the UK following its success on West End, Broadway and Vegas. The musical first premiered at Florida’s Seaside Music Theatre in 2007, and has enjoyed UK and US success since. The West End production of the show first opened at the Noel Coward Theatre in 2011.
